We Believe In The Law Of Attraction

We really believe in the law of attraction and as Shawn often says ‘you got me didn’t ya,’ and I often reply with one of my favorite quotes, ‘be careful what you ask for…you might just get it.’

A few weeks ago we were playing crib and we had to cut to see who goes first. I made a big production over cutting and yelled ‘2’ before I cut and was ecstatic when I cut the ‘2’. Shawn looked at me and calmly said ‘Ace’ and cut an ace. His next word to me as he shook his head with a smug face was ‘stupid.'

If I believe, and I do, that we can have anything we ask for, then why oh why did I not ask for an ace in the beginning. It doesn’t take any more energy to attract an ace than it does a 2, so why didn’t I ask for an ace?

Is it that I don’t want to be greedy? There is enough of everything for everyone: all we need to do is ask. There are four aces in a deck. We both could have cut one.
There is an abundance of information out there today on the Law of Attraction (LOA), and lots of people are talking about it, but who is actually using it? We all are. We are all using the LOA and if you want to see how you are using this universal law look at the results in your life today.  The LOA states that:
We attract whatever we choose to give our attention to--whether wanted or unwanted.
If we are thinking about a lack of something, we are attracting more lack (scarcity). If we are thinking about something we love, we are attracting more of what we love and enjoy. All we need to do is become aware of attracting the results that we say we want.

If we believe that the LOA is in effect at any, or in every given moment, then we must be living our desired results. Right? Is that how it works? Or am I moving closer to my desired results by focusing on what I want? That sounds better to me.

One of the key themes in our book is evidence building, and we believe that we are always gathering evidence.   I would like to say that I am organized, although there is lots of evidence to the contrary. Every time I go into our office I feel totally overwhelmed because the office is a mess.

What I want is organization and what I have is a big mess. When I see the mess I think about the mess and the pile gets higher and higher along with my anxiety. It becomes a vicious cycle because now I have more and more evidence that I am not organized, and my energy drains when I see the pile of paperwork growing. So what am I to do?

Clean it up. But how? I have workshops to coordinate, programs to run, food to prepare, families to love and holidays to plan: where is cleaning the office going to become a priority?

I need to decide what I want to achieve, set the intention and hold the vision:
Then I act as if.

I Actas if: I am already living in the outcome.

I Change my mind

I Tell myself that I want different results by stating affirmations: statements of my desired outcome.

I Act: from my heart and my head. I have to taste, feel, see, smell and be the outcome.

I Set goals: I take small steps every day in the direction of my dreams. I sometimes take a step back or sideways, but I know where I am going, so I have something to measure against. I am always course correcting: getting back on track.

I let go: of the “how’s.”

I Focus: Every day I close my eyes to see by visualizing the outcome that I am attracting.

I ACT AS IF

I am holding the vision that by the time I send my next newsletter the office will be clean. I will keep you posted.
For those of you that aren’t practicing the LOA every day or on a regular basis, what have you got to lose? It doesn’t cost anything? Nobody can see you or make fun of you, and you can’t do it wrong.
I heard on the film, The Secret, that 96% of the wealth in the world is owned by 1% of the population. What are they doing that is different to the rest of us? They know the secret:

The Law of Attraction

Mike Dooley says, ‘Dwell from, not upon, the space you wish to inherit. This is the fastest way to change absolutely everything.’

In other words, ACT AS IF.
