Date Ideas

Lorraine loves to dance, and she is pretty good at it. I, on the other hand, don’t like it so much. I’m one of those big white guys you see at a wedding, shuffling from side-to-side like I’m injured, with a back brace and a prosthetic leg. Until of course, I have about 8 pints, and all of a sudden, I’m cutting a rug like MC Hammer.

 

We have been to Mexico a few times and really enjoyed the music and the pool side dance lessons we participated in.

 

I went through the phone book and looked for dance instructors in our area. I contacted one lady who taught Salsa, and asked if she would be available to come to our home for a private dance lesson. She said she would, gave me the price and we set a date.

 

I let Lorraine know that our date would be on Saturday and to get dressed up. Of course Lorraine has no idea what the date is, or where we are going, if anywhere.

 

That evening, as Lorraine and I were having a glass of wine, the Salsa instructor showed up at our place, brought her own music and she taught us some basic Salsa steps, right in the comfort of our own living room. It was romantic, relatively inexpensive, injury-free, not horribly embarrassing and a really good time.
