Happy New Year!!!

Whoever invented New Year’s resolutions? I’m sure I could Google it, but I don’t really care, it’s just a thought.

Whoever it was, I think that they were really smart. It seems that right after Christmas there is a big let down, people are tired, broke, stuffed AND they still have to take down the tree. How festive it was bringing that big, healthy, beautiful tree into the house, and what a chore it is to drag its sorry little remains to the curb.

Anyway, if that person didn’t invent New Year’s resolutions, how long would it take people to get back on track? Everything I have read or heard since the 1st has been about setting the resolutions, writing down our goals, asking for support and going out there and taking one step a day to bring you closer to those goals.

There are all types of people; therefore, I guess we all have our own ways of doing things. Like my husband and I for example: I am the type that LOVES New Year's resolutions because they create RESULTS, and I love results. The only thing is that they take time. I want to stay up all day and all night until I achieve my goal, and my husband is happy to take one diligent step at a time, still find time to eat, and run, and enjoy life.

As I have been writing, I have been thinking about the inventor of New Year's resolutions and I think that he/she owned a gym or a diet center.

Anyway, however you work towards your new goals or resolutions, keep working towards them. Stay focused on what you want and see the results everyday. Take a few minutes and close your eyes and see the results you want to create, and then act as if it has happened already.

We are.

We set an intention last month to donate $5.00 from every book we sold in December to the Salvation Army. We have decided to extend that, and we will continue with our mandate to raise money for such a worthwhile organization.

Part of what is really important to us is supporting people to win in their lives, and we are currently building our coaching practice, as well as starting our couples discussion group on the book:  ‘Olive Juice Forever: Confessions of a Love Junkie.’ The discussion group will run the second Monday of every month, starting February 12th from 7:00pm – 9:00pm. Cost per person is $120.00 for 12 sessions, and it will be held in our home in Nanaimo. There is still some room available, so please Contact Us for more information. Each month, we will discuss a different chapter and work through the worksheets and discuss ways that we are working to keep the love alive.
We've decided that we'll be expanding our 1 on 1, or 2 on 2 Relationship Coaching for singles and couples. Send us a confidential email for more details. info@olivejuiceforever.com
There's also some other stuff coming up locally and across Canada, so check out the Keynotes and Classes page.

Some people are getting real with us with a couple excellent questions this past month. Dear Shawn and Dear Lorraine.

Lorraine is back at the top of her game with her latest article. It goes something like this…It’s December 31st, time to set those New Year’s resolutions. I get to set goals and decide exactly what I want and go after it, and it’s all exciting and life is full of opportunity and abundance. Instead I’m ready to chuck in the towel…Click here to check it out.
And don’t forget, it was Lorraine’s month for the Date in December. WoooooHooooo. Life is Good!!!

As always, Love is the Answer,

Lorraine and Shawn
