Yesterday I was at church, and the minister started her talk with this quote:

Everyone laughed, and then when the laughter died down, I said, “That’s not funny,” and we all laughed again.
It’s not funny. What about those of us who get our self esteem needs met through the eyes of others, those of us who put so much emphasis on the size of our butts and boobs…wearing the right gear and driving the right car?
Well, one day those butts will be bigger and our boobs a little (lot) saggier. We won’t be wearing the Gap gear and receiving all the compliments on our outside ‘stuff’. When our mind isn’t so quick, and we aren’t so funny: Who is going to pay attention to us then?
The only person that will be with me, giving me everything I need in my life, every day of my life, is ME.
That’s why our upcoming workshops… newly named, “How’s your Love Life,” are so important. The Love Life we are always talking about is the one with ourselves.
