This is not a review on the book but rather on one of Lorraine's 6 week Tony Robbins DVD workshops she has been sharing.
I just came home from one of Lorraine's Ladies' Days on these DVD's on Relationships. I was driving home thinking about what I just watched, and what the ladies were talking about after the session, and it hit me like a bolt of Lightning. Why did I sign up for this? I love my husband and think we have a pretty great thing going. We have been together for 20 years. There are some days when I think Why did I pick this man, and I am sure he thinks the same about me. We were attracted to each other for a reason. But What reason?
I got to thinking. I come from a solid family background. My parents are still together and love each other deeply. I have not been abused. My partner also comes from this same background. We share the same values. We hope for the same for our children. I wonder why sometimes we try to find the fault or the negative in our lives when right in front us, we have it all. It may not look like a soap opera life, but why would we want all that drama in our lives? I think I don't see the forest for the trees.
I want everyone to know that just because you don't have a faulty relationship doesn't mean you can't learn a thing or two about how you can make it even better. I walk away every time from one of Lorraine and Shawn's workshops, knowing deep in my heart that My husband is worth it for me taking the time to Honour our relationship, by gathering more tools to add to my toolbox and make things just a little bit better. My relationship is healthier than it has ever been, and I owe it all to 4 people.
First, to myself for taking the chance to not be afraid to improve on greatness. Secondly, to my Husband whom I am Honoring and Love. Third and Fourth to my Friends Lorraine and Shawn Jensen who have Love so deeply embedded in them that they have enough to share with everyone.

I found your whole concept original which is extremely difficult to do in a publishing environment inundated in the past two to three decades with self improvement, advice-based and/or confessional materials. The hits of humour and "I'm only a guy" interjections made the book eminently readable and it never descends into self-indulgence. Its sincerity sets it aside from other books in a similar genre.
I always admire authors who "put it all out there" and Lorraine realy connects with the reader. By revealing her past difficulties she humanizes the work and makes readers trust her advice. The recommendations come off as instructive rather than preachy which gives them even more integrity in my view.
The graphics are endearing without being cutesy and the divison of topics/chapters are easy to understand and progressive.

Hi. I have quite a bit to say, but 3 kids here today so here is the first. The first gift from this book for me really showed up last night. My husband is in Victoria over night and forgot his cell phone. Normally this would be enough to get me down and out and start thinking of what he was doing. I would have myself emotionally traumatized by bedtime on any other occasion, though I say I trust him, I seem to enjoy fantasizing about getting my heart, ego and life crushed by a cheating spouse. So yesterday when I realized he forgot his cell, I chose to look for evidence that he loved me instead of making myself insane. And when he hadn't called by bed time or at all in fact, I still didn't stay awake all night trying to figure out how I was going to support my kids after I kicked his cheating ass to the curb. I looked for evidence that he loved me and our life and our family, and I went to sleep. What a gift. Thank you. I am going to re-read and then as things pop up I will send you a note. You are amazing! I have to say I found it very cool and powerful to read a book like that written by someone I actually know. Loving you and yours.

Reading "Confessions of a Love Junkie" felt to me as if Lorraine was talking to me. She wrote her book in the same delightful and love filled way she talks. Shawn's comments seem to say it all: He is just a guy.
Whoever does not know Lorraine yet, can look forward to an amazing experience. Reading each chapter, I knew I was reading about the real love experience and not Hollywood make belief.
Reading it the first time, I just wanted to know what else Lorraine and Shawn had to say. I started in a parking lot and stayed their for 35 minutes before I decided it was okay to drive home and continue reading there. Reading it the second time, I experienced new "aha" moments which I did not get the first time. I am now on my third reading and I am amazed that just by reading Lorraine's words, I vibrate positively and radiate love to people around me.
Thanks Lorraine and Shawn for your decision to share your love with me. Yup, I agree...... love is the answer.

Just wanted to say I have officially finished the second book that I have ever read in my whole life. And I wanted to Congratulate you two on a very inspiring book. My favorite part is to ask myself "Do I want to be right or do I want to be happy" and Being a Taurus , the sign of Pride and Stubborness I have been making an effort in saying that phrase over and over in my head and yes..most of the time I would rather be happy..So thank you and keep doing what you do cause if you even affect one person that in itself is a life altering experience.You are both such amazing people. xoxo Ainsley

A long overdue acknowledgement of your book that Bobbi brought over a few weeks back. I usually have four or five books going at once but tonight I just pulled out your book and read it cover to cover. Loved it! Easy, conversational approach – thoroughly enjoyed it. The one quote about the best gift being that I would see myself as others see me was fabulous. That hit home! Please let me know how you are doing with your marketing. Hey guys, Have to say well done. I will admit that I bought this book to support you in your efforts. Not necessarily to read it! After reading the foreward from 'Harshy pants' I was giving it some thought. When I read what Shawn had to say I was hooked. I (rather Trinity has) a book shelf full of self help books. Honestly I haven't done any more than glace at them, if that much. So in the few days following your teriffic launch @ NYC I along with my wife have read and gone to work on the first couple of chapters. So in short I would like to say thanx for writing a book that another "just a guy type" would read. Again Congratulations! I look forward to seeing this on the NYtimes best seller list.
